As well as the regular questions that I have been asked whilst driving for Uber, the one that seems to come up a lot, that is in no way related to Uber, myself or the trip as such, is the request I get to do a ‘Maccas Run’, ‘KFC Run’, ‘7 Eleven Run’ to name a few of the most popular requests.

Normally these requests are as a result of an attack of the munchies after a few (several) drinks, normally later in the night but sometimes I do get the odd request from riders that I am taking into the City or the Valley precinct! I don’t know why. [Read more…]

As the title says I got a Ping request for a trip whilst driving around the inner Brisbane recently. When I arrived at the address a young lady emerged and asked if we could go to a particular address (her home apparently) so she could pick up another pair of her jeans!!

No problem, I said as we started off. I asked her to put the actual address in the App so we could find the house. For some reason this seemed to be more of a problem than I thought however there was a strong smell of alcohol on her breath so I just put it down to that! [Read more…]
