In our modern society today we have political correctness, the nanny state and generally a risk adverse approach to parenting, have we gone too far?
I am not advocating that extreme activities should become the norm however there is some creditability to the argument that to cotton wool your child is equally adverse to their future wellbeing.
There was a report on Channel 7 Sunday Night that covered this exact issue and it eye opening to say the least. Whilst I agree with taking the kids out and exposing them to real life situations, I am concerned that maybe some of the examples shown here are a little to extreme for the ages of the children involved.
