What you see whilst driving for Uber

Halter Neck Top

Halter Neck Top

As I drive around the greater city there are times that I see things that simply surprise, disappoint, intrigue, entertain or in some cases I see things that cannot be un-seen!

It’s true the more you drive on the road the more you are likely to see. Bearing in mind I drive for Uber in the early early evening and well into the night on a Friday and Saturday, some of the sights can be and are more interesting and insightful.

Whilst I have seen a lot of these instances, there remains three that really stand out for me as they were in three different scenarios with one even in the front seat of my car 🙂

Scenario 1: It was a warm Queensland evening in the Valley one a Saturday night and I had just picked up a guy from the Pig and Whistle and we were heading down McLachlan St until we reached the lights at Ann St.

As I pulled up at the traffic lights another car pulled alongside us with the windows wound down with the music and the voices being loud. I noticed it too was an Uber with 3 young ladies on board across the back seat.

Well it turned out they were determined to share the love a bit and pull up their tops for the admiring pleasure of yours truly and my passenger.

Not only were they keen to share but wanted to make sure we got a good look as they almost fell out of the window! My passenger was already impressed with the Uber service and this only heightened his appreciation and he wanted to know if we charged extra for the entertainment? No not really – just one of the perks!

I assured him that that it was all just part of the Uber experience!

Scenario 2: Whist this experience is somewhat similar to the one above, this time it happened right in the front seat of my car.

This time I picked up a young lady from her New Farm apartment complex and we were heading over to a northside address where she was meeting her friends.

The mood was electric as she had just enjoyed an afternoon socialising and was now progressing to even more socialising with another group of friends. It was apparent to anyone that she got ready in a hurry as her hair was wind swept and the makeup unfinished.

Still we ventured down James St towards Lutwyche Road and the conversation got going around how life is great, the weather perfect and my car was nice, clean and comfortable. Odd how all three subjects got tied in together however she was in a ‘happy’ mood!

I also noticed she was fidgeting around a bit trying to get comfortable and adjusting her clothes a little. Her halter neck top was one of those fabric style in light brown that had a band around her middle and two large bands up over her top and then tied behind her neck. This was the subject of much fidgeting.

She then placed one arm across her chest and her other hand reached behind her neck and was undoing the knot. She said it was too tight and making it uncomfortable so she wanted to adjust it somehow. This is where is got interesting – you see she only has two hands, two breasts and one knot to untie.

This wasn’t going to end well however I kept my eyes pointing forward…..

It was at that point (no pun intended) that she seemed to give up on this task of keeping everything discrete and in order, so all of a sudden both hands went to untie the knot with one side falling down with the ‘contents’ exposed for all to see.

At that stage my eyes were now looking forward and observing this very fine example of the female form. The young lady was simply laughing and enjoying the freedom I suspect. She tried to apologise however I said it was not necessary!

Note: after this reorganisation of her clothing she was much more comfortable and the conversation returned to the weather!!

Scenario 3: This is a more concerning one and it left me feeling a little bemused and disappointed. I got a ping request for ride and drove over to Warner St in the Valley.

I pulled over and parked as there were a lot of people around – I then sent a txt confirming my location should they have trouble finding me.

Ironically that was not the issue as I was next to where they just exited the Club/Pub and the young lady came over and stuck her head in the window asking me to wait a minute until her friend was ready. No problem I said.

Well the wait was because her friend needed to go to the ladies urgently – this was not in a toilet but in one of the recessed doorways of the business next to the club complex. Yes she had squatted down there and thats when I turned away not wanting to see that action!

Well a few minutes later both of them arrived at the car opened the door and got in. I didn’t know what to say. I was concerned for the wellbeing of my back seat and the fact I would have to carry a lot more people tonight, however the main thought was what her mother would be thinking right now if she saw this rather random act from her daughter.

Still I got them home safely and then proceeded to the nearest Service Station and got my microfibre coth and paper towels out, wet them and wiped the rear seats several times – with each pass being more enthusiastic than the first.

Remember I did have further passengers that night to think about!
